GJ Cleverley Trunk Show, Double Monk

1 month from today, Chris and Nicholas Schaerf of Double Monk in Melbourne will be hosting, for the second time, GJ Cleverley and Co, for their only Australian trunk show.

The fact that Australia now has a boutique (edit: 2 boutiques, with the opening of Double Monk, Sydney) capable of stocking some of the worlds finest brands in men’s shoes (also including Edward Green, Crockett and Jones and John Lobb etc)  is a tribute to Chris and Nick’s passion and commitment to footwear. They also carry a range of other accessories, including ties from Rubinacci and Lino Ieluzzi’s Al Bazar.

It’ll be a great couple of days and I’ll be there for the Friday evening drinks, as well as to have a bespoke pair of Cleverley’s made at some point over the 2 days (edit: finished shoes here).

If you’d like to meet two of the worlds leading shoemakers (George Glasgow Jnr and Teemu Leppanen) and to view their range, it’s worth coming along.

He spends most of his days running his successful (god knows how) consulting company and travels frequently to Europe for work and writing. He's a passionate cyclist, former trainee professional golfer and lover of all things Cocker Spaniel. He's married to his best friend and significantly better half, Mehri. They have 2 little boys born 11 months apart, which was funny for about 2 seconds before reality set in.
